A basket boat tour is a unique cultural experience in round woven bamboo boats (thuyền thúng) through the Bay Mau coconut forest in Cam Thanh village. Your local guide will demonstrate traditional fishing techniques, spin the boat in a mesmerizing dance, and help you catch crabs along the way.

📅 Planning Your Visit
Walk-ins are welcome, but advance booking is strongly recommended during peak season (November–April) when the coconut forest is very busy. Booking in advance also means we can support you in any situation – including if a driver tries to take you elsewhere.
The coconut forest is beautiful year-round. For the most comfortable experience, visit early morning (8–10 AM) or late afternoon (3–5 PM) to avoid peak heat and crowds. The dry season (Feb–Aug) offers calm waters and clear skies.

Yes! The basket boat tour is great for all ages including young children. The water is calm and shallow (about 1–1.5m). Life jackets are provided. Kids especially love the crab-catching and spinning show – it's often the highlight of their trip to Vietnam!
No swimming ability is required. The water is very shallow and calm, and life jackets are provided and must be worn. Our guides are trained in safety and are always nearby.
There are no strict weight or age restrictions. Basket boats can typically accommodate 2–3 adults comfortably. Elderly guests and those with limited mobility are welcome – just let us know in advance so we can prepare appropriately.
